Today marks the 9th anniversary for Derek B. Moore and Zurlene A. Moore.

We are experiencing the absolute best day of our lives! The leather signifies the strength of the bond

Cord of Three Strands is a husband and a wife with the fabric of their lives interwoven with the life of Christ

Never before have we been so established in our faith, or our marriage. We are living in the house Grandpa left to Donna Mae and we are assisting her, our mother, and reconnecting with our legacy.

As of right now we are heading downtown to conduct business in the Information and Communications Technology arena, excellent opportunities we are able to capitalize on with the stability now in our housing, faith, and business ventures.

Thanks be to The LORD and especially the pastors that have done the work of building us up. Phil Cookes, Alex Bernard, John MacArthur, Bob Dobranski.

So this all was starting to take shape as we were meeting with Larry Neville, the president of Praise Chapel about how important it was to pay attention to the Title and Description of a website specifically that shows up on the google search results page. That took us on a journey to make the fine tuning and adjustments that communicate effectively what our own websites are about.

Take a look at what a search for Crunch Media Shows. The single line in blue is the Title of the website and the double line in black is the description of the site. This is your first chance to make an impression and to say what your site is about. This is what we were trying to explain to Laryy and realized we needed to adjust ours first before we can use it to prove the concept.

Moving forward yesterday we were talking to Jared Duba, a Christian brother, rap artist, and web designer. We were talking about the seven multi-media disciplines being: [INFOGRAPHIC]

infographic illustrating the seven multi-media disciplines

The Seven Multi-Media Disciplines and Their Respective Aspects

Another thing we discussed was the need for creating infographics to enhance blogging, hence the creation of the one above.

Some of the other points we covered in our discussion was the need to create a good mobile version of a website, an example being WPTouch, we also discussed Shopify as a means of creating an online store. Lastly we touched on QR Codes, I mentioned JumpScan as one way to see the power of QR Codes in use is to look at my wife Zurlene’s JumpScan but even as i was preparing to write this blog post I noticed the QR Code on our Gravatar.

Well that’s a little bit for Jared to chew on for now, he said it was alot of information so I wanted to make sure he had this post for reference!

Cheers-

As we begin to share the passion for building our Lord’s Kingdom I first want to earn your trust and build a great relationship with you.

I have been studying Search Engine Optimization (SEO) which was traditionally for improving ranking on google for instance. Now after reading the article on http://SEOmoz.org found here http://ow.ly/1bhLbD it is beginning to become clear that there is a great harvest of souls for The Lord Jesus Christ that will come into The Kingdom through connecting with people and sharing the gospel through social media.

Twitter for instance is what the article is about, increasing followers by communicating, sharing information and responding to concerns, compliments and complaints. So as I am actually writing this blog post as an extension of the right hand of fellowship to brother Larry Neville of http://praisechapel.org because of our friendship with his nephew Jason Neville who has 1324 friends on facebook.

What we will be seeking to do through producing music videos for instance is to captivate viewers and share encouragement and compassion like truservas new music video TRU-SERVA [Official Music Video] TONIGHT f.t Nicole Serrano.

So lets continue to reach out to the lost and also be an encouragement to the believers, build bridges and bless those in the ministry doing the work.

feel free to connect with us on http://twitter.com/crunchmedia we look forward to connecting with you!

Skate Ministry in Los Angeles

Day after Thanksgiving 2010 skating at the Charmette Bonpua, Culver City and Wilshire Skatepark Downtown Los Angeles.

Skateboarding is a much different sport than when I was young, the skateparks were private enterprises where someone would get the money, engineer the park and charge for entry. That model is antiquated except for the holdouts like Vans that have the marketing reasons for keeping the park open, otherwise all of the parks are goverment run. Staffed to keep the helmets on the kids or if the city does not have the funds to staff the parks then the helmet law is not enforced by the police. Actually the laws state full-pads but even staffed only the helmet is required.

So here I am, 43 year old skater, I have been skateboarding for 38 years. Now I greatly enjoy the sport and love to be around the kids. That’s where the ministry takes place, witnessing for Christ that freedom in Christ is to be used for good, not a covering for evil.

So as time and circumstance permit I am fortunate to have the privilege of getting to be free, to get to skate, to get to be around kids, and to seek out ways to influence them for The Kingdom of God.

This is a new era for Crunch Media, we are now licensed pastors through the Saints of Value Ministerial Training Center. http://saintsofvalue.org

As we are beginning a pastorial internship offciated July 12, 2008, we are certainly growing in our knowledge of His will.

Our mainstay of work that we perform presently is a food ministry that we pastor 40 families at a service we conduct prior to giving out the free food. Many people are being saved weekly.

We are also making sure that our technology and media ministry is full steam ahead. Working with many different organizations to assist them in preaching the gospel of The Lord Jesus Christ.

As time progresses we are believing God for our ministry to get fully established along with our pastorate through the Saints of Value organization so we thank you for your prayers and financial support as God leads. We are praing that God allows us to use interesting graphics, motion graphics, animation, video, photography, audio and text and that God would send the talented individuals to us as we endeavour to build the team.

God Bless and we will talk to you soon God willing,

Derek and Zurlene

Its been a year or two since we have blogged and a host of changes have taken place within the ranks of the Crunch Media family

Changes within our minds and hearts that have provided for us greater resolve, determination and clarity regarding what we are actually here for, what we are supposed to be doing with our time, resources, finances and relationships

Steering directly to the heart of God, seeing His hand move in our lives, allowing Him the ultimate authority to guide and direct our paths in a way that is pleasing to Him and glorifies His Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth

Nothing will deter us from our mission

The weeks and months ahead will be a tremendous time for Zurlene and I to just get to work hand-in-hand with other key individuals and organizations that share a like-minded approach to allowing our live to be molded, shaped and ultimately used in these last days to usher souls into right relationship with God the Father by Grace through Faith in His son

Thank you for your investing time in reading this as well as taking time to visit Crunch Media and for your prayers

God Bless You!

Moving Forward As Christian Technologists

Zurlene and I would like to share with you about where things are for CrunchMedia, where we have come from, and where we see things going in the near and not so near future.

Following this letter from Zurlene and I you will be able to see some information about Kingdom Causes, an organization CrunchMedia is working alongside to preach the gospel using technology and media.

We were once just happy and so excited to have been able to put some video of some of our artist and pastor friends online and to make websites that can use video, we thought that was it.

As we became more skilled in our ability to shoot programs and events, as well as making DVD’s and more importantly approaching High-Def quality levels (we are still striving to reach that goal and are much closer) on our sites we became more excited to see all of the ways we could dream of to reach out to our saved and unsaved friends with the good news of Jesus Christ of Nazareth dying on the cross for our sins and being raised from the dead for our justification.

Our lives have been changed being in the room with Dr. Alec Rowlands and Reverend Ray Bringham when we recently shot the California Pastor to Pastor conference, I mean REALLY CHANGED FOR GOOD!!! You can watch the program and listen to Rev. Ray on a podcast soon to find out what happened but back to what I was saying.

These are some of the programs that are going forth with the help of Kingdom Causes and the most important part of this correspondence.

This is a call for financial and prayerful support of Kingdom Causes.

They are holding a fundraiser golf tournament Monday, October 16, 2006. It is 100 holes of golf that you can pledge $1 a hole that Zurlene and I will be playing in support of that ministry that in turn supports CrunchMedia and the work of the ministry going forward with technology and media campaigns.

All of the funds go to Kingdom Causes in the form of an envelope that gets mailed to you after the golf marathon so you can send in your pledge.

Our involvement with Kingdom Causes is that CrunchMedia has the fortunate opportunity to be in the zone when the Spirit of God is moving to capture the moment and share it with you!

One of the ways Kingdom Causes is helping CrunchMedia is that they will, with CrunchMedia’s direction, be purchasing and Co-Locating in a data-center a true streaming WindowsMedia Server.

What does that mean?

if you watch the Barry Felis Ministries North Coast Evangelism Kick-Off 22 Minute Spot on CrunchMedia, it takes a considerable amount of time to buffer, please be patient, allow the video to buffer and enjoy the program, please do!!

What the streaming server will do is allow the programs to load quickly, with even a higher quality, with chapter markers, fast forwarding, rewind and lots of other excellent features.

We will be working with Kingdom Causes to use the server to preach the gospel in intellegent, extremely advanced ways that will result in a user experience for the vewiers that is what we believe unsurpassed in all of The Kingdom!!!

Zurlene and I thank God for Brother Evan’s vision, leadership and quality of character in this exciting time in these last days!

Jesus is coming soon, let’s reach out together and bring as many to heaven with us as we are on the way!

God Bless you, please read the information below about Kingdom Causes and thank you for supporting the golf marathon fundraiser for Kingdom Causes!

In His Love,

Derek and Zurlene

Call for Unity in The Body of Christ

Hello,

This message is being sent out to for the purpose of a request for prayer and support for the Media and Technology outreach moving forward.

It is my sincere desire that we can begin to engage in dialogue regarding how we might be able to collaborate on a plan to build up The Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth and see the lost coming to saving faith.

My name is Derek B. Moore, my wife Zurlene and I are a part of CrunchMedia, we are Christian Technologists.

In our arsenal is Cinematography, Filmmaking, Web Development, Podcasting and the written word.

The reason for the correspondence is to introduce us and to see if we can talk about how to build unity in The Body of Christ to see the community of the spoken word specifically the Christian Rap world reach out to the unsaved.

Zurlene is in the planning stages of having a concert fundraiser sometime in the summer of 2007 for her vision to have My Fathers House biblical food restaraunt with high-tech video-conferencing and internet workstation facilities as well as nutrition books, Christian music and products.

Another goal is to have an LA and OC radio station, actually over-the-air FCC FM stations with Christian Rap. That would be a five year goal as of Sep 2006.

In the mean time we are producing concert DVD’s and online films as well as online radio.

How I think we can work together is to start to build programming together.

So look at our site if you have the time, http://CrunchMedia.com and let us know what you think.

In Jesus

A Little Bit of Christian Technology

Hello all! This is Derek,

Since there are no rules against me reviewing my own site, in all fairness let me be as objective as possible.

We will tell all of you about the features of about the CrunchMedia site Zurlene and I like as well as need to continue to improve and also features that have not been implimented yet that we would like to provide in the not-so-distant future.

 - – - – First, our slogan is “Streaming the Way (in HD)”  what that means is that we are leading the way back to God by grace through faith in The Lord Jesus Christ using the vehicles of media and technology to crush the devil.

HD means High-Definition (720 progressive or 1080 interlaced horizontal lines of resolution) being higher than standard definition (480 interlaced horizontal lines of resolution)(I know this is really technical so bear with me) but the user experience of downloading HD is really not there until broadband speeds exceed 6 megabits, DSL except for the fastest SUPER DSL which is really tough to get and cable-modems just arent there yet. so even though technically speaking we are SD (standard definition) the look and feel is HD.

How can say HD when we are really SD because we shoot cine-look 24 progressive frames a second film style with our cinematography. so if it takes a while to buffer, please be patient, it is worth waiting a few moments to get to see the film, the audio is good enough to turn up loud (in my opinion) and we are working on getting a true streaming server turned on for all of you to have a better experience.

If you have read this far you care enough about what’s going on to look into it so Zurlene and I would ask you to pray and seek God’s face as to wether he would have you sow into this ministry your financial support.

- – - – - – Thank you for reading this and God Bless You!!! ;)
